Melissa Menkel McGuire is a Liff, Walsh & Simmons Partner and Director of the Employment Practice Group. Melissa regularly advises and counsels businesses on all aspects of employment law. She practices before federal and state courts and administrative agencies throughout Maryland, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Melissa aggressively defends claims alleging wage and hour law violations, wage payment and collection law, family and medical leave law, employment civil rights laws, and breach of contract. She also defends employment tort claims such as wrongful discharge, negligent hiring and retention and defamation. Additionally, Melissa conducts workplace investigations.
